Lawyer: Ex-wife won’t seek custody of Jackson’s children

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Michael Jackson’s ex-wife and the mother of his two eldest children, Debbie Rowe, has agreed not to challenge the singer’s mother for custody of the children, a Jackson family lawyer said in a CBS News interview.

Londell McMillan, who represents Katherine Jackson, said a tentative agreement was reached “for the best interests of the children.”

“This is not a money deal,” McMillan said. “This is not about money.”

Debbie Rowe never publicly said if she would fight Jackson’s 79-year-old mother for custody of her son and daughter — ages 11 and 12 — and a court hearing concerning custody was delayed several times this month while lawyers for each side talked. The youngest child, 7, was carried by a surrogate mother, whose name has never been released.

Whereabouts of Jackson’s Body Remain Unclear

More than a month after Michael Jackson’s sudden death, the whereabouts of his body remain unclear.

The King of Pop’s gold-plated, rose-covered casket was last seen at his public memorial service on July 7 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. After the service, it was driven away to parts unknown.

Reports have placed Jackson’s body in an above-ground white marble crypt that is owned by Motown Records founder Berry Gordy at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills. Gordy reportedly offered Jackson’s family the use of the crypt until they finalize plans on where to bury the entertainer’s body.

But a spokeswoman for Gordy denied those reports.

Jimmy Fallon Gets College Diploma After 14 Years

ALBANY, N.Y. — He’s a comic, actor, “Saturday Night Live” veteran and “Late Night” talk show host.

Add one more thing to Jimmy Fallon’s resume: College graduate.

The 34-year-old Fallon has finally gotten his bachelor’s degree, 14 years after he left an upstate New York college to pursue his comedy career.

The television and film star picked up his degree in communications and spoke to graduates at Saturday’s College of Saint Rose commencement.
